CES 2008: Microsoft Partner Pavilion

Sunday, January 6, 2008
Microsoft Partner Pavilion, Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas, Nevada

In what is fast becoming a Pre-CES Sunday tradition, members of the Microsoft Windows Featured Communities were given an advance (totally NDA’d) tour of the Microsoft Partner Pavilion.

While we cannot talk about the new products and technologies we saw there, I can safely say that for the second year in a row, I saw Bill Gates.

Pretty cool.

CES 2008: CES Unveiled

Saturday January 5, 2008
Sands Exposition Center, Las Vegas, Nevada
CES Unveiled is the press-only registration and meet-and-greet soiree held before the opening of the event allowing press attendees to hobnob with each other, and gives them the opportunity to get an advance view of products due to be announced at CES.

Steve Hughes and Eric Hicks, both of Boston Pocket PC were there.

At CES Unveiled, I was able to speak with representatives from AMD, Parrot, Pro-Clip, etc.

As time permits, I will update this post.

Now, I’m off to dinner with friends.

2008 International CES

January 4, 2008
Las Vegas, Nevada
Weird trip here

Meetup with Mike Reyes (HardwareGeeks) and Terri Stratton (TheTabletPC.net).

Had dinner with Terri and Mike at Cravings at the Mirage Hotel & Casino (sponsored by SmallBizVista.com).

Psyching myself into getting ready for the zoo at CES tomorrow.

Memo to self: look into electric mobility scooter rentals tomorrow if this broken leg does not hold up.

(Chris Aarons (of BuzzCorps), Terri, and Michael had asked me to look into a scooter rental right about the time I broke my leg.)
